Paula “PJ” McDonald - Lanning

Paula Lanning, 76, passed away on Wednesday. July 24, 2024 at Newark Wayne Community Hospital.

Friends and family are invited to call Friday, August 16 from 3 to 5 PM at Norton Funeral Home, 45 W. Main Street, Sodus.  A memorial service will follow at the funeral home. A celebration of Paula's life will continue at the Sodus Center Fire hall from 5 – 8 PM.

Paula was born on February 6, 1948 in The Genesee Hospital the daughter of the late Herbert L. and Lyla M. (Wood) McDonald. She worked at the Newark Wayne Community Hospital. She enjoyed collecting Angels, dolls and fairies, playing dice and other games with her es-brother-in-law Hank. Most of all, Paula, loved her family.

She loved her daughter Annette; her grandchildren Charles W. (Sheyenne Baker) Sigel Jr., Amber L. Sigel, and Danny R. (Vanessa Vanalstyne) Sigel; great granddaughter Adaline Mae Sigel; She loved her sisters Sharon L. Shum (the late Eddie Shum), Wanda M. Whal, Carol A. LaFever, Lynn M. Grosz; a sister from another mother Lorna Zegar; ex brother-in-law, Hank Tremfer; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  

Besides her parents, Paula is preceded in death by her sister Brenda McDonald; brothers Clifton, Roger and Gary McDonald.
