Diane D. (DeRight) Lancy

Diane Lancy, 79, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital with her family by her side.

Diane was born on December 22, 1944 in Williamson, the daughter of the late William and Eleanor (Ruffel) DeRight.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, music, reading, and was active in her local church.  Over the years she served many families by providing childcare.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald A. Lancy, whom she married 61 years ago on January 14, 1963; her daughter, Hope (John Mark) Reynolds; her sons Jeffery (Tammy) Lancy and Peter (Ingrid) Lancy; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Evankovich and Carolyn Smith.  Predeceased by her daughters, Holly and Andrea Lancy.

A celebration of life will be held at the First Baptist Church, 6025 New Hartford Street in Wolcott, on Saturday, August 24 at 2pm with calling hours following from 2:30-4:00pm.
