Collis Malloy 55 passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024, while visiting family in Rochester, NY.
In keeping with Collis’ wishes there will be no public calling hours or funeral service.
Collis was born on October 27, 1968, in Williamson, NY to the late Collis Malloy Sr. & Betty (Henry) Smith. He graduated from Williamson High School, & soon after joined the US Navy & was fortunate enough to travel overseas during his deployment. Returning to the states & civilian life, he worked at various restaurants as a cook, as well as a substitute teacher for Sodus Central School District. Until he found his lifelong passion (25+ years) as a Traveling Electrician, which gave him the opportunity to travel all over the United States, working on numerus construction projects. Collis, a comedian in his own right, brought joy & laughter into every room he entered and was never afraid to turn a stranger into a new friend. He enjoyed cheering on his favorite team “49ers”, being the barbeque king and spending time with his family & friends. Collis is survived by his wife: Renee (Elliott) Malloy, mother: Betty (Henry) Smith, sisters : Tina Bernard & Shawnte Hollis, brothers: James Ferguson & John Ralph Malloy. His 12 children: Michael Washington, Moses Barber, Collis Devon Malloy, Elizabeth Bellinger, Saharra Malloy, Jahmar Malloy, Jamie Solomon, Mickel Solomon, Toni Evankovich-Malloy, Zion Sluyter-Malloy, Jacob Sluyter-Malloy, and Alexander Anderson. 17 grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, & cousins. special nieces ; Jelessa Furgurson, Makenna Thrash, & Kwanna Furgurson. special nephews: David Knight-Hollis, James “Manny” Furgurson, Talib Furgurson, Harvey “Butch” Allen, & Nate Lewis. and his friends: David Ott, Juan Parra, Marty Johnson, Henry Jones, & Kenyatta Barber.
As Collis transitions to the afterlife, he will be greeted by his grandparents: Artie C. & Missie (Wilson) Henry, his father: Collis Malloy Sr., sister: Betty Lou Lewis, brothers: Bernard Allen & Maurice “Mo” Malloy, nephews: Christopher Furgurson & James Furgurson III. Though he will be meeting them in the afterlife, from this moment forward Collis Malloy Jr. will be driving the bus.
Please join his Children in a celebration of life scheduled for October 26, 2024 @ Newark Fireman’s Field beginning at 12:00pm.
