Abraham Butler, 88, peacefully passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at his home with his loving and supportive family by his side.

 
Abraham was born November 22, 1935 in Columbia, South Carolina, the son of the late Abraham Butler, Sr. and Annie Mae (Sly) Butler.  He was formerly employed by Costich Brothers Nursery, Mott’s and Newark Florist.  He enjoyed fishing, cars, the Buffalo Bills and traveling.  He will be remembered as a loving husband and father and for his great sense of humor.

 
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no public calling hours or service.

 
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rosa Lee Caldwell-Butler; his children Reginald, Lawrence, Jackie (Aaron), Elaine and Donald (Danielle); grandchildren Tyrael, Sabrina, 
Erin, Kayla, Cierra, Yvonne and Benjamin; great-grandchildren Myla and Ruby Moon;
sisters Reecie, Doretta and Mary Helen; brothers Willie and Van Lee; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

 
Besides his parents Abraham was predeceased by his brother Charlie, and his sisters Joanne and Maren.
