Betty J. “BJ” Avery Reynolds Bean

Betty Bean, 79, peacefully passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.

 
Betty was born May 6, 1945, the daughter of the late Ernest E. and Edith M. (Ellis) Avery.  She was a devoted factory worker from Sealright, Nesties, Miller Brewing and retired from Refractron Corp. in Newark, NY.

 
In keeping with Betty’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.

 
Betty loved cats, birds, gardening, plants, fishing and her friends.

 
She is survived by her son David M. Reynolds of Fulton; daughter Sherry (Howard) Seabrook of Oswego; step-sons Derek (Diane) Bean of Huron and Tom Bean of Wolcott; sisters Brenda Riano of Phoenix and Cathy (Jack) Crego of Florida; brother of Ernest (Judy) Avery of Maine; niece Nealeen (Jody) Gigon of Maine; nephews Frederick Riano, Ernest Lance Avery, Darrohin and Charles 
Bickford and multiple grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and multiple cousins.

 
Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by her brother Edward N. Avery; sister Shirley Avery and her late husbands Charles D. Reynolds, Sr. and 
Harold “Bill” Bean; sons Charles “Ajax” Reynolds, Jr. and Daniel B. Reynolds; daughters Wanda Reynolds Skinner and Shawna K. Reynolds.

 
Memorial contributions may be directed to her daughter, Sherry Seabrook, 325 Kingdom Road Oswego NY 13126.
