Sodus: Sandra A. Bitter, 62, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Friends and family are invited to call, Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 W. Main St., Sodus, NY. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 22, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home followed by burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 2932 Warners Rd., Warners, NY. Sandra was born December 18, 1961 in Rochester, NY. The daughter of the late Raymond R. and Janet M. (Johnston) Hinkel. She was a graduate of Wayne Central School and attended Monroe Community College. She retired as a Senior Accountant from Garlock Sealing Technologies in Palmyra, NY. She loved crafting, camping, baking and popcorn parties with her granddaughters. Sandra is survived by her husband, David L. Bitter whom she married on August 25, 1990; daughters; Jodi French, Amanda (Kent) Burman, Emily (Dave) Witherall, and Holly (Caleb) Toor; sisters; Cindy (Mike) Lewis, Sharon (Rob) Farnung, Lisa (Andrew) Titus, Marlene (James) Tomkin, Darlene (Tom) Jacobs, brother; Charles (Sarah) Hinkel; her granddaughters; Alexis Rodriguez, Reagan, Harper and Scout Burman, several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her loving canine companion, “Tank”. She was predeceased by her parents, her in-laws Robert and Shirley Bitter and her special canine companion “Ben-Ben”.
