Jose Quintero, 84, passed away, unexpectedly Thursday, December 19, 2024, at his home.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no public calling hours or service.  A celebration of his life will be announced.

Jose was born on September 2, 1940 in Santa Clara, Cuba.  He retired from the University of Rochester where he worked in the housekeeping department. After retirement Jose enjoyed fishing, swimming and working in his garden.

He is survived by his wife Patricia A. (Blondale); his daughters Disleny Quintero Verdecia and Diley Quintero Verdecia; step-daughters Mellissa Miller and Shawna Carwardine; sons Jose Ivey (Adrienne) Quintero, Jose (Catherine Tighe) Ramon Quintero Jr; sister Marisol Quintero Artiles; brothers Jose Quintero Artiles and Antonio Quintero Artiles; grandchildren Vladimir Sanchez Quintero, Juan Carlos Garcia Quintero, Carlos Alfredo Gonzalez Quintero and Jacob William Quintero; step-grandchildren Brendon Miller, Kristopher Skilins II and Konnor Miller Skilins; one great-grandchild Marlon Vargas Sanchez; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jose is predeceased by his parents Juan Quintero Garcia and Leida Adelaida Artiles Rodriquez along with several other brothers and sisters.
