Obituary of Randy P. LaValley

Martville: Age 55, entered into eternal rest on Thursday October 10, 2013 after a courageous fight with bone cancer at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, with his beloved wife Rose at his side. Randy was a master mechanic. He had been employed the past 12 years at Cahoon Farms Inc. in Wolcott. He was a long time resident of Martville. Randy loved woodworking, constructed part of his home, he was an avid NASCAR fan, as well as being an accomplished guitarist. He is survived by Rose (Dingy) LaValley, his friend, co-worker, but most of all his devoted wife of 14 years, and his son Michael LaValley. Randy is predeceased by his parents Betty and George LaValley of Potsdam, and by his brother Kelly LaValley of North Rose. Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 5925 New Hartford Street in Wolcott. His memorial service will be held at the conclusion of visitation. At the request of Randy’s family, donations in lieu of flowers may be directed to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 Randy will always be remembered and loved by family, many friends and co-workers. Light a candle Wednesday evening and say a goodbye and send a prayer. He’ll hear you.
