Obituary of James E. Bombard

Sodus: Age 66, passed away unexpectedly on Friday November 8th at Rochester General Hospital. Jim is survived by his siblings Linda Lawson, Shirley Bombard (James Farley), Gerald (Diana) Bombard, Janet (Ron) Guntrum, Sandra (Earl) Jesmer, and Jacqueline (Manuel) Reyes; several nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his wife Nancy, and by his parents Ernest and Marie Bombard. A U.S. Army veteran, Jim served in Vietnam. He was wounded in combat and was awarded the Purple Heart. Additionally, Jim received the Combat Infantry Badge, Parachute Badge, Army Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, and the National Defense Service Medal. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday November 13th, from 12-2 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus. Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of visitation. Interment with Military Honors will be at the Sodus Rural Cemetery.
