Obituary of Betty J. Kolczynski

Savannah: Age 83, of North Main St., Savannah, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 11th, 2013 at Auburn Community Hospital with her family by her side. Betty is survived by sons Michael (Zoe), Thomas, and David (Tricia); seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brothers Douglas and William; sisters Marilynn, Suzanne and Nancy; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph; her father Douglas and mother Florence; and her brother Richard. Betty was born February 1st, 1930 in Port Byron, NY and graduated from Port Byron High School in 1947. She was employed at the Auburn Correctional Facility for many years and retired from the Wayne County Treasurer’s office. Prior to his death, she enjoyed traveling with her husband of 53 years. She was also an active member of St. Patrick’s Church in Savannah. Visitation will be Friday, November 15th from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at the Norton Funeral Home in Savannah. The funeral will be held Saturday, November 16th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Savannah with the burial ceremony immediately following at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Fleming, NY. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the charity of your choice in her honor.
