Sodus: Unexpectedly on Wednesday November 13th, at age 49. Van is survived by his children Van, Victoria, Ryan, Kayla, Amanda, and Bradly; his fiancée Veronica Fowler; grandchildren Anthony, Adriana, Dominic, Donovyn, and Jade; several cousins; and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Van and Mary Gorton.
Van was a 25 year employee of Garlock Sealing Technologies in Palmyra where he was a machine operator. A loving father and grandfather; he was an avid outdoorsman and Harley enthusiast.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday November 21st from 2 – 7 p.m. at Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus, where his funeral will be held immediately following. A graveside service will be held at the Webster Rural Cemetery on Friday November 22nd.
