Obituary of Joshua Sinclair Battle

Joshua Sinclair Battle was born on July 1, 1989 in Sodus, NY. He departed this life on April 7, 2011. He attended Sodus Central School in Sodus and Charlotte High in Rochester. As a youngster, Joshua loved remote control cars and dancing. His favorite ride was his pocket rocket bike. He enjoyed music, art prints, computer, friends, his cell phone, his fish tank and playing chess. He loved his collection of sneakers and hats. His dreams were to open a Fun Zone, a Target Practice Range and to buy a Mercedes and Lamborghini. He is survived by his mother, Cynthia Battle; sister, Imani Tahjee Janiih Jackson of Rochester; brother, Ledauhn Coley Jackson of Atlanta, GA; father, Charles (Zakia) Greene, Jr.; siblings, Zayda and Charles Greene, III of Baltimore, MD; Grandparents, Leo and Gloria Battle; Grandmother, Rosi L. Miller; Great Grandparents, Joe and Anna Mae Gilley; Great Uncle, Rev. Emanuel and Ruth Johnson of Seneca Falls; special cousins, Clinton McCants (deceased) and Johnathon Lewis of IA; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Calling hours were held Friday evening, April 15, at Norton Funeral Home in Sodus and his Funeral Service was on Sunday, April 17, at the Redeem Bethel Church of God in Christ on Route 104 in Williamson. Burial took place in Sodus Rural Cemetery.
