Sodus: Passed away unexpectedly on Sunday January 12, 2014, age 68 following a brief illness. Joshua is survived by his wife Robin (Chalupa); children Joshua W. Charles Jr., Kristina Charles, Jacqueline Humphrey, Joyce Rollins, Mashunda Vaughters, and Edwin Braswell; brothers and sisters Will Charles, Joe Charles, Elijah Charles, David Lee Charles, Addie Scott, and Willie F. Coakley; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; many aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by a daughter Sandra Faye Sheldon.
A retired steel worker, Josh worked for many years at NuCor in Auburn.
Visitation will be held on Saturday January 18th from 11 – 1 p.m. with his funeral service following immediately after from the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus. Spring interment will be at the Joy Cemetery.
