SODUS: Passed away at home on February 5, 2014, age 61. Penny is survived by her husband of 43 years Gary Thomas; son Aaron Thomas; daughter Dawn (Mike) Hermenet; grandchildren Taylor, Ryan and Dayna Hermenet, Jonathan Thomas; brother Jim (Noreen) Lucas; step-father Ron McNeil; step-sisters Roxanne Augustine, Carolyn McNeil, Theresa McNeil; step-brother Ron McNeil; sister-in-law Carol (Bruce) Godsave; special cousin Pam Baun; several nephews. Penny is predeceased by parents Henry and Elnora Lucas; birth mother Patricia McNeil; brother-in-law Stephen “Milky” Thomas; mother and father-in-law Marjorie and John Thomas.
Visitation will be Friday February 7th, 6-8 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus. Funeral Services for Penny will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday February 8th, from the Sodus United Third Methodist Church, 56 West Main Street in Sodus. Following the funeral service, the family will be having a reception at the Wallington Fire Department on Ridge Road. Spring interment will be at the East Palmyra Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Penny may be directed to the Wallington Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 57, Sodus, NY 14551; or to the American Diabetes Association, 160 Allens Creek Road, Rochester, NY 14618.
