Sodus: Passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014, age 75 at Rochester General Hospital. Nancy is survived by her son Scott (Bonnie) Bates; and step-daughter Jamie (Steve) Montemorano; grandchildren Jeff (Angela) Montemorano, Kris (Beth) Montemorano, Doug (Kate) Bates, Matt (Gayle) Bates and Marcy Bates; 12 great grandchildren; her brother Michael (Brenda) Garlock; several nieces and nephews, as well as many special friends. Nancy was predeceased by her husband James Taber, and by her parents Jay Garlock and Ellen (James) Colucci.
There will be no prior visitation. Nancy’s funeral service will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday February 15th from the First Reformed Church, 18 Maple Avenue in Sodus. Interment at Sodus Rural Cemetery will be held at the convenience of her family. Immediately following her funeral, there will be a reception for family and friends at the Wolcott Elks Lodge, 6161 West Port Bay Road, Wolcott.
