Obituary of Alma Mae Steger (Zajaczkowski)

Sodus/Wilkes-Barre PA: Alma Mae “Mickey” Steger Zajaczkowski passed away Saturday evening in Winter Haven, Florida following a brief illness at age 83. Mickey is survived by her husband Charles Zajaczkowski; her children Eugene (Anne) Steger Jr., Thomas (Mary) Steger, James (Joan) Steger and Joseph Steger; step-daughters Diane (Bill) Eydler and Tina (Carl) Lisman; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother-in-law George (Nancy) Steger; sister-in-law Ann Hesek. Mickey was predeceased by her first husband Eugene Steger Sr. in 1997, and by her parents Frank and Mary Weis. Born in Rochester, NY, Mickey and her husband Eugene were the owners of the Steger Haus Restaurant on North Geneva Road for many years. Recently she was residing in Wilkes-Barre, PA and Winter Haven, FL with her second husband Charles Zajaczkowski. Visitation will be held on Friday February 28th from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday March 1st at Church of the Epiphany in Sodus. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester.
