Newark/Sodus: Passed away on Wednesday May 7th, age 62 following a brief illness. Chuck is predeceased by his father Richard C. Spross on October 14, 2000. He is survived by his mother Evelyn Spross; sister Elaine Spross; brother Edward (Huisun) Spross; aunts Laurel, Marcia and Lynette Parsons, Sybil Joy; uncle Myron Parsons.
A long time educator and coach at the Sodus Central School District, Chuck was active in the Lions Club of Sodus where he was a past president, 2nd Vice District Governor (District 20-E2), a Melvin Jones Fellow, and recipient of the MD20 Past District Leadership Award.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday May 10th, 3-6 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus. Funeral services will be held Monday, 1 p.m. at the Fairville Presbyterian Church on Route 88. Interment will be at the Sodus Rural Cemetery,
Memorials may be sent to the Lions Club of Sodus, NY, PO Box 331, Sodus, NY 14551; or to the Fairville Presbyterian Church.
