Sodus: Passed away on Monday May 19th at age 83. Mark is survived by his wife of 62 years Marlene; daughters Roxane (Michael) Casey, and Karen Decker. Mark is predeceased by sisters Josephine Chimento, Rita Ambrosio, Sylvia Quinones, and Norma Cerrone; son-in-law Doyle Decker; and three nephews. Born in New York City, he retired in 1994 after a 25 year career at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, NJ, where he was a Professor and Administrator of the Department of Prevention Medicine. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday May 23rd, from 4-7 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday May 24th, 10:30 a.m. from Church of the Epiphany, 105 West Main Street in Sodus. Interment will follow at the Sodus Rural Cemetery. Mark’s family has requested that donations in his memory be directed to the American Diabetic Association, 160 Allens Creek Road, Building 160, 1st Floor Brighton, New York, 14618, the American Heart Association, 25 Circle St #102, Rochester, NY 14607, or to the Humane Society of Wayne County, 1475 County House Road, Lyons, NY 14489.
