Savannah: Age 94, passed away on Tuesday July 15, 2014 at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. Born in Savannah, he was the son of Stanley and Hazel Pangburn Wilsey. Ron is survived by his wife of 61 years Arlene Wilsey; children David (Tammy) Wilsey, Brenda (Ron) Rotach, Dale Wilsey, and Gregory (Julie) Wilsey; grandchildren Robert (Mary Kay) Rotach, Daniel (Emily) Rotach, Jaclyn (Tim) Collins, Dana Wilsey, and Renee Wilsey; great-grandchildren Timothy and John Rotach; sisters Marjorie Lippert, Bernice O’Connor, and Janet (Harry) Carr. Ron is predeceased by siblings Carlton Wilsey, Eloise Crane, Irving “Bum” Wilsey, and Evans “Bill” Wilsey. Ron was a retiree of the Wayne County Highway Department, and was a World War II Army veteran, having served in the Pacific Theater of Operations. There will be no prior visitation. A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held Saturday July 19th, 11 a.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Bud Hinman Post #947, 26 Sodus St., Clyde, NY. Interment will be private. Memorial Contributions in Ron’s memory may be sent to the Canandaigua Veteran’s Administration Hospital. Address checks to VAVS and mail to: VA Medical Center, c/o Voluntary Service (135), Canandaigua, New York 14424. Arrangements: Norton Funeral Home of Savannah.
