Sodus: Now goes a woman of unending courage, strength and selflessness to a bright and better place. Joan Elizabeth (Plassche) Gray ended her fight against cancer on January 6th, 2011 with her daughters by her side. She is survived by her daughters Tamara L. Gray of Rochester and Kerry L. Gray-Barnes of Indiana; granddaughter Kaitlyn Elizabeth Barnes; brother Neil (Doris) Plassche of Sodus.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 14th, 2011 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Sodus United Third Methodist Church, 58 West Main Street in Sodus. Joan’s funeral will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Sodus Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s memory should be directed to the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14642. Arrangements: NORTON FUNERAL HOME.
