Alton: Passed away on Sunday May 22nd at age 84. Alice was predeceased by her husband George Brown on October 26, 1980; and by brothers Harry, Gordon and Howard McAdoo. Born in Sodus, she was the daughter of William and May (Blondale) McAdoo. Alice is survived by her sons Ted (Sally) Brown of Alton and Terry (Lisa) Brown of Wolcott; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters Martha Yaskow and Mildred McAdoo; brothers Robert (Donna) McAdoo and William (Kristin) McAdoo as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday (May 26) from 1-3 & 5-7 pm from the NORTON FUNERAL HOME, 45 West Main Street, Sodus, where her funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation. A Graveside committal service will be held at 2 pm Friday at the Baptist Rural Cemetery in Sodus Center. Alice’s family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Alice be directed to either the Alton or the Sodus Center Fire Departments.
