Wolcott: Valerie Lee Brooks, age 47, passed away on Saturday September 20th following a brief illness. Born in Rochester, she is the daughter of the late Reginald J. and Shirley Ann Jock. Valerie is survived by her soul mate Tom McVaugh; daughters Brittany and Breeanna; brothers Charles W. Main “Ricky of Burke, NY, Randy L. Jock (Linda Wessie) of Sodus, Ritchie J. (Lori) Jock of Ontario, Rusty L. (Chellie) Jock of Clyde, Russell J. (Dee) Jock of Red Creek; brother-in-law C.J. Galek of Red Creek; nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Besides her parents, Valerie was predeceased by her son Brandon A. Brooks, and by her sister Vicky Jones.
Val was a Sr. Account Clerk, who was employed by the Wayne County Department of Social Services. She enjoyed boating on Sodus Bay with family and friends, and spending time with Tom riding on the Harley.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday September 26th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus. Her funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. from Faith United Methodist Church, 12223 Oswego Street, Wolcott. Interment at the Huron Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester, 333 Westmoreland Drive, Rochester, NY 14620.
