Clifton Springs: Formerly of Alton and Sodus Point passed away peacefully on Sunday September 28th, age 82. Born and raised in the Fulton area, she was the daughter of Ruben and Helen Broadwell Hall. Phyllis was the proprietor of the Alton Coffee Shop for many years. She is survived by her son Ernest (Anne) Baker Jr.; daughter Karen Baker; grandchildren Kathy (Dave) Dashnau of Fulton, Christopher (Maddy) Lewis of Oswego, Kristina Lewis (Paul Fillmore) of Sodus Point, William Baker of Sodus ; great grandchildren Kaydence Baker Burnell and Autumn Dashnau; sister Shirley Frio. Besides her parents, Phyllis is predeceased by her husband Ernest “Bill” Baker Sr., brothers Burton Hall and Ted Hall, sisters Alberta Cary and Erma Arcadi. There will be no prior visitation. A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Phyllis will be held at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street, Sodus on Sunday October 5th at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to the Hospeace House of Naples Inc., PO Box 343, Naples, NY 14512.
