Obituary of Gerald F. Miner Jr.

Norfolk VA / Wolcott N.Y: Gerald F. Miner, Jr., age 67, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 14, 2014. Gerry was born on July 9th 1947 in Wolcott, NY retiring from the US Navy after 34 years of faithful service to his country. He was a proud ABHC and member of the ABMA. Gerry was most recently a truck driver for Givens Trucking. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lucille A. Miner; his parents Gerald F. and Evelyn Miner, Sr., sisters, Kathy Pena and Pat Freer, and brothers Jonathan and Joseph. Gerry is survived by his children, Christine Miner of Woonsocket, RI, Sondra Miner (Joe) Peloquin of Melbane, SC and Kenneth (Jennifer) Miner of Suffolk, VA. He is also survived by his siblings, Donna Miner, Jackie (Dodge) Emigh, Mike (Karen) Miner all of Wolcott, Greg (Terry) Miner of Waterloo, 8 grandchildren, 2 great- grandchildren, several Aunts and Uncles, and many nieces, ,nephews and cousins. A Military service was held on September 19, 2014, at the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, VA. A memorial service will be held in Wolcott on October 12th at 2 PM from the North Wolcott Christian Church.
