Obituary of Mary Jane Miller

Sodus: Jane Miller of Sodus passed away November 30, 2014 at the age of 78. Predeceased by her daughter Juanita Warner, parents Emeron and Zita Strittmatter, sister Erma, brothers Omer and Joseph Strittmatter. Survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Lloyd Miller, and children Eric (Libby) Miller of Williamson, Mark (Teresa) Miller of Lyons, Ronald (Diane) Miller of Lyons, Arthur (Tom Hayes) Miller of Syracuse, Katrina (Paul) Blaszyk of Scottsville, Shane (Laura) Miller of Forest, VA. 16 grandchildren Jessica (Chris) Wahl, Aleshia (Nathan) Rooke, Amanda (Christopher) Reynolds, Emily (Kevin Briceland) Miller, Kristin (Cody Kyler) Miller, Ben (Jackie) Miller, Andrew Miller, Daniel (Mandi Torres) Miller, Adam and Alex Blaszyk, Mickayla and Rachel Miller, Bryce, Evelyn, Hazel and Isadora Miller.4 great grandchildren, Trevor and Carly Wahl, Lydia Reynolds and Larson Kyler. Son in law Stephen Warner. Her brothers Earl (Dorothy) Strittmatter, Jerry (Cheryl) Strittmatter, Grace (John) Krebs, all of Pennsylvania, sister Arlene Rager of VA; sister in law Stella Strittmatter of Pennsylvania. And numerous brothers in law, sisters in law and nieces and nephews Jane was born in Patton, PA to Emeron and Zita Strittmatter November 16, 1936. In 1956, she married Lloyd Miller and they traveled to Sodus, NY where they raised their family. Jane was a stay at home mother and worked part time as an aid at Sodus Central School. After her children were grown, she went to school and became an LPN working for Genesee Region Home Care. She was active in the Twig Association and the Church of Epiphany. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Calling hours will be at Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main St. Sodus on Sunday, December 7th from 4pm-7pm. Funeral on Monday December 8th at 11am at the Church of Epiphany. Interment following at the Sodus Rural Cemetery.
