Obituary of Harold "Whitey" Beckens

Sodus: Passed away on Sunday June 12th, age 65. Whitey was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Dorothy Beckens; and by his brother-in-law Gary Clark. He is survived by his sister Eleanor Clark; brothers Gerald (Marie) Beckens and Donald “Red” (Sharon) Beckens; step-children Rebecca (Matthew) Morano and Robert (Melissa) Plouse; 8 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the NORTON FUNERAL HOME, 45 West Main Street, Sodus. His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday from the funeral home; interment will be at the Baptist Rural Cemetery in Sodus Center. In lieu of flowers please consider contributions to the Sodus Lions Club, or to the Alton Fire Department, both of which Whitey was an active member of.
