Sodus: December 3, 2008 at age 54, passed away with her loving family close by, following a courageous battle with cancer. Betty was predeceased by her parents Francis H. and Adele (VanGraafeiland) Davis. She is survived by her loving husband Ray, step children Ray Woodhams III, Shannon (Gordy) Horrell, Bridget Shelton, Robert Woodhams and numerous grandchildren. Siblings Carol Ingram and Frank Davis; sisters-in-law Mary Jane Blaze and Linda (Howie) VerHow; nieces Carla (Randy) Fowler, Chris (Edward) Pacheco, Laura (Ricky) Hutchins, Cheryl (Tom) Denehy, Michelle Mitchell, Susan Rohrback and Cindy Rohrback; nephews Edward Joseph Davis, Richard (Karol) Mumby Jr., Christopher (Darci) Mitchell and Gary (Tracy) Woodhams and many dear friends. Betty had worked as a Registered Nurse at Rochester General, Myers Community and Highland Hospitals and then as a Physician’s Assistant at Genesee and Highland Hospitals. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street, Sodus. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, at the First United Presbyterian Church, 31 West Main Street, Sodus. Interment will be at Sodus Rural Cemetery. Betty’s family has requested that donations in lieu of flowers be sent to the Pines of Peace, Ontario, NY 14519, or a charity of one’s choice.
