Obituary of Robert Lloyd Gay

Sodus: Robert L. Gay, age 72, passed away at his residence on Saturday April 25, 2015. Bob is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara; son Bruce (JoAnn Rudduck and her daughter Aubrey); father and step-mother Russell and Valerie Gay of Elmira; brothers Arthur (Alison) Gay of Tyler, TX, Andrew (Sharon) Gay of Arvada, CO, Alan (Susan) Gay of Elmira; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Bob was predeceased by his mother Martha Lehman, and by sister Ona Stanley. Born in Los Angeles, CA, Bob received his Associates Degree in Business at Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Delaware. Over the years Bob was employed in several different career fields, which included working as a Timekeeper at the R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, worked construction with his father-in-law Harry Calus, was employed at Seneca Foods and Berry Plastics; and operated his own landscape business. An outdoorsman at heart, Bob enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and cutting wood. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday May 9th from 11 – 12 noon with his Memorial Service following immediately thereafter from Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street, Sodus.
