Lyons: Passed away Tuesday evening, January 20th, age 89 at the Wayne County Nursing Home in Lyons. Blanche is survived by her children Richard (Dorothy) Baker of Lyons, Ronald (Carol) Baker of Sodus, David (Diane) Baker of Palmyra, Dolly (Paul) Raymond of Ontario, Molly (Calvin) Graham of Mississippi, Dorothy (Salvatore) Valente of Florida, William (Vera) Baker of Lyons, Samuel (Connie) Baker of Lyons and Alice (Charles) Lewis of North Rose; 26 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren;
13 great-great grandchildren; sister Nevada Snyder of Moira NY; brother Ambrose Snyder of Brushton NY; step-children Betty Hilton and Iva Goodfellow; and special friend Shirley Boeye. Blanche was predeceased by husbands Herbert Baker and Paul Hilton; son Floyd Baker; daughter Helen Baker; sisters Flora Steele and Rosella Snyder; brothers Robert, Wilford and Jerry Snyder Jr.; several step-children. Blanche was a retiree from Hallagan Manufacturing in Newark.
Visitation will be held on Friday, from 1-4 & 6-9 p.m. and, Saturday from 11-1 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street, Sodus. Funeral services for Blanche will be held Saturday at the conclusion of visitation. Interment will be at the South Lyons Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Blanche’s memory to the Wayne County Nursing Home, 1529 Nye Road, Lyons, NY 14489.
