Obituary of Jean M. Coulombe

Sodus: Unexpectedly on January 27th at age 83, following surgical complications. Jean is survived by sons James (Jerilea) Coulombe of Sodus, Douglas (Lisa) Coulombe of Rochester, and Raymond (Karen) Coulombe of Sodus; grandchildren Benjamin (Darlene) Coulombe, Andrea Coulombe, Jared (Kareen) Bryant, Matthew Coulombe, and Meghan Coulombe; four great grandchildren, and many cousins. Jean was predeceased by her husband Raoul J. Coulombe “Lu”, her parents James and Edith MacDonald, and her brother Robert D. MacDonald (K.I.A. Korea, 1950). Jean and her husband moved to Sodus in 1950. She was a long time member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Sodus, was a retiree from the Wayne County Department of Social Services, had been actively involved in her church, the Twig Association of Myers Community Hospital, the Monday Club, and Scouting. A Memorial Service celebrating Jean’s life will be held on Saturday March 28th, 11 a.m. from the First United Presbyterian Church, 31 West Main Street in Sodus, where a reception will be held immediately following. Jean’s family has requested the courtesy of no flowers, and that donations in her memory should be directed to the Sodus Town Ambulance Corps, PO Box 344, Sodus, NY 14551. Arr: Norton Funeral Home.
