Sodus Point: Survived by his wife, Nancy Corney, Children: Terri (Bert) Roberts, Joseph Corney (& Rocky Greco) and Michael Corney; Grandchildren: Sarah, Adam and Elizabeth Corney. Sisters: Vera Papula, Arlene Zibuck, Evelyn Bowen and one brother, Jacob Corney plus many nieces and nephews.
Joe taught school in the Marion Central School District and was active in the sports program there. He retired from Marion in 1991. He was also a Charter Captain on Lake Ontario and an avid golfer.
Friends and family may call Friday, May 22 at 2:00 pm, at Sodus Bay Heights Golf Club and join us for a celebration of his life. A special memorial tribute will be offered at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army.
