Obituary of James J. Rowe

Sodus: Age 84, passed away June 5, 2009 after a year long battle with cancer. He retired from teaching at Sodus Central School and served with the US Army Air Corps during WW II. Many enjoyable hours were spent at Sodus Bay Heights Golf Club perfecting his golf and card games. He is survived by his wife Sheila, six children, Ann (Doug) Boise of Sodus NY, William (Brenda) Rowe of Sodus NY, Francis (Anne) Rowe of Denver CO, Edward Rowe of Denver CO, Kathryn (Peter) VanderBrook of Rush NY, John Rowe of Boynton Beach FL, and his sister Julia Fletcher of Camillus NY. Fourteen grandchildren, a niece and several nephews also survive.
Friends and family may call Friday, June 12, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Sodus Bay Heights Golf Club, 7030 Bay View Drive, Sodus Point, NY. and join us for a celebration of his life. A special memorial tribute will be offered at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Lifetime Care, 1120 South Main Street, Newark, NY 14513.
