Butts, Dorothy Viola Sommers
Age 96. Died on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Blossom View Nursing Home, Sodus. Wife of the late Roger H. Butts, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. David S. and Linda L. Butts, Marietta, GA, grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth Butts/Krueger, Alexandria, VA and Jon David Butts, Roswell, GA, a sister-in-law, Jane Butts Cottrell, Sodus, cousin, Beverly P. Teague, Lakewood, NY; several nieces and nephews; close friends Marjorie Shaw and Sharron Purdy.
A Memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church in Sodus, on Saturday August 1st, 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Mayville Cemetery in Mayville, NY at 10:30 am on Monday August 3rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the women's organization at the church of St. John's, Sodus, NY.
