Sodus: Evelyn went home to be with her Lord on September 10th, age 77 years following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She is survived by her daughter Connie (Douglas) Jenkins Kyle; son Charles D. Jenkins; daughter-in-law Mary Alice Groom Jenkins; siblings Royce Leon Spears and Marianne Spears Allen; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. Evelyn is predeceased by her parents Charles Homer Spears and Sarah Belle Royse Spears; brother Charles H. Spears Jr.; son Richard C. Jenkins; grandson Bryan Jenkins; great granddaughter Isabelle R. Carne.
A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday September 26th, at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 1000 South Main Street, Newark, NY 14513. A Memorial Service with interment will be held in the Cement, OK area at the convenience of Evelyn’s family. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, 1102 South 13th Street, Chickasha, OK, 73018. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N.
