Sodus/North Rose: Passed away on Monday November 9, 2009, at age 74. Berdeane is survived by sons Murray (Dawn) Featherly III of Sodus and Grant Featherly of North Rose; granddaughter Sarah Ann Featherly; brother Edward Roemer of Newark, sisters Gail (Robert) Schutt of Palmyra and Arlene (Frank) Steffen of Penn Yan; several nieces, nephews and close family friends Mike & Donna Emhof of Sodus. She was predeceased by her husband Murray (Junior) Featherly on June 11, 2008, her parents John and Nellie (Kotvis) Roemer, and a twin sister Bernice Roemer.
A 20+ year employee of the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle, she retired as Regional Circulation Manager.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the
NORTON FUNERAL HOME, 45 West Main Street in Sodus, where her funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation. Interment will be at the Sodus Rural Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Berdeane should be directed to the First Presbyterian Church of Sodus, or to the North Rose Fire Department Ambulance Corps.
