Obituary of Marjorie M. "Peggy" Dykeman

Lyons: Marjorie Dykeman, age 91, formerly of North Hampton Road in Wolcott, passed away on Sunday February 28th at the Newark Wayne Community Hospital. Peggy is survived by children Winifred (Brignall) Caraballo of Lyons and Nancy (Brignall) Clingerman of Lyons; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; and daughter in law, Mann Dykeman. She was predeceased by her husband Robert on November 4, 1989, and son Robert Dykeman on January 22, 2008. Peggy had worked at the Seneca Army Depot, and was a Nurse at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Canandaigua and at the Clifton Springs Sanitarium; she was a Matron and dispatcher at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office from 1959 to 1971. Visitation will not be observed. Interment at the convenience of her family will be at the Huron Evergreen Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be sent to the Humane Society of Wayne County, 1475 County House Road, Lyons, NY 14489. Marjorie’s family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at the Wayne County Nursing Home for the care and compassion that was extended to her during the past five years.
