Obituary of Peter Paul Beganskas

Sodus/Brockport: Passed away on Sunday March 28th, age 94, at the Newark Wayne Community Hospital. Peter was a dairy farmer in the Brockport area prior to moving to Sodus. He is survived by his brother Joseph Beganskas, and his church family. Peter was predeceased by his parents Dominick and Anna Beganskas; his sister, Sister Mary Germain O.S.F., and brother Frank Beganskas. Peter had been ombudsman and a volunteer at the Blossom View Nursing Home in Sodus, a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, member of the Council of Churches, Stephen Ministry, Parish Council at Church of the Epiphany, and had served as an usher at church. Peter loved roses and was also a member of the Newark Rose Club. Visitation will be held Tuesday (March 30) from 4-6 p.m. at NORTON FUNERAL HOME, 45 West Main Street in Sodus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish (Church of the Epiphany) in Sodus. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Friends of Father Symon Jubilee School for Nomads, P.O. Box 617, Barrington, RI 02806, or to a charity of one’s choice.
