Red Creek: Passed away on Monday April 5th, age 59 following a lengthy illness. Ruth loved the outdoors, and looked forward to her vacations up north camping every summer with her family. Born in Wolcott, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth “Jack” and Mildred Cole Mettler. She is survived by her husband Robert of 36 years; sons Tony (Lisa) of Martville, Ronald (Rebecca) of Red Creek, Kevin (Christine) of Savannah; daughter Bobbijo (Brian) of Wolcott; brothers Kenneth (Connie) of Wolcott, Carl of Wolcott, Robert of Red Creek, Gary (Cheryl) of Wolcott, sister Kathy (Randy) of Wolcott; grandchildren Krystal, Ronald Jr., Daniel, Jacob, Cheyenne, Michael, Brian, Tracie, Sharia; step-grandchildren Andy, Emily and Shaylen; great grandchild Tyler; several nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by sisters Joyce and Beatrice. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday (April 8th) from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the COLVIN-ROBERTSON-NORTON FUNERAL HOME, 5925 New Hartford Street in Wolcott, where her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. Interment will be at the Huron Evergreen Cemetery.
