Alton: Passed away on May 8th at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, age 90 after a brief illness. Kitty is predeceased by her husband Ralph. She is survived by her daughter Marjorie (Lawrence) Ashley of Alton; and her brother Robert (Eleanor) Grosz; grandchildren Adrenne (John) Grundon, Josh Ashley; great grandson Blake Ashley; nieces and nephews Kathy (Rick), Casey (Mark), Chad (Jen), Lori (Tom), Stephanie, Chris, Judy and Greg.
Kitty was born at Alasa Farms on May 22, 1919 where she resided until her marriage to Ralph DeGelleke in 1950. They resided in Alton. Kitty enjoyed taking care of her yard and garden. She was an active quilter with the Cobblestone Quilters at the Alton United Methodist Church. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday May 12th from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at NORTON FUNERAL HOME, 45 West Main Street in Sodus. The funeral service for Katherine will be Thursday, 1 p.m. from the Alton United Methodist Church on Ridge Road. Interment will be at Sodus Rural Cemetery. Donations in Katherine’s memory may be directed to the Alton United Methodist Church.
