Wolcott: Age 82, passed away peacefully at the Wayne County Nursing Home on Friday, May 14th, following a long fight with heart disease and debilitating dementia. She gave a valiant fight and never gave up. Fran enjoyed life as a wife and a mother. She worked at Blossom View Nursing Home, and also as a bartender at Edna Wells Restaurant. She loved playing cards, flowers, music and her cat “Mommie” who set with her day after day. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Burtrice; sister Grace Tryon; brothers John and George Alford. She is survived by sons Dean Hanson of California, Ronald Hanson of Red Creek, daughter Betty (Terry) Horn of South Butler; sisters Mabel Crocker and Marjorie Manley; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and her companion of 5 years Al Green of North Rose. He gave her love and friendship which meant the world to her. A Celebration of Fran’s life will be held on Wednesday May 19th, 12 noon from the Faith United Methodist Church, Oswego Street in Wolcott. Interment will be at the Huron Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Colvin-Robertson-Norton Funeral Home of Wolcott.
