Obituary of Maude L. Featherly

Age 82, lifelong resident of Sodus, died of cancer on June 10th. A homemaker, Maude enjoyed cooking, baking. canning and gardening and was known for growing raspberries. Maude worked locally including jobs the Newark State School and Garlock. She was formerly active with the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by sons Edward (Karen) LaGasse, Steven (Tammy) LaGasse, Patrick Featherly of Sodus and Andrew (Jacqueline) LaGasse of Glendora, NJ.; grandchildren Stefanie (LaGasse) Hasse, Christopher, Andrew Jr., Lauren, Aimee LaGasse and three great-grandchildren; step children Douglas Featherly, Linda (Featherly) LaGasse, Roxanne Featherly; brothers Issac ( Margaret) Vanderlinde of Lockport, Ralph (Betty) Vanderlinde of Newark, and Martin Vanderlinde of Lyons, very special friends Dawn (Chris) Reithel; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husbands Robert Featherly and Roger LaGasse; sisters Sarah and Marie, brothers John, William and David.
A Memorial Service will will be held Saturday, June 26th, 11a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Sodus, interment will follow at the Sodus Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Pines of Peace, Ontario, NY. Arr: Norton Funeral Home of Sodus.
