Obituary of Douglas R. Fitzmaurice

Wolcott: Was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday August 30th in his 69th year. Doug is survived by his wife Nancy of 46 years; his children Catherine (John) Parsons, Patricia (Ara) Bagdasarian, Douglas John Fitzmaurice and James Earl (Tricia) Fitzmaurice; grandchildren Adrik, Ava, Georgia, Johnny, Nicholas, Zachary and Baby Norah; sisters Diane Fitzmaurice and Karen (Don) Camp; brother Robert (Terri) Fitzmaurice; many beloved nieces and nephews; work associates and friends. Doug was predeceased by infant son Michael Henry Fitzmaurice, and by his parents Douglas and Eileen Fitzmaurice. There will be no prior visitation. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday September 3rd, at St. Mary Magdalene Church (corner of Washington St. and Northrup Ave) in the Village of Wolcott. A reception will immediately follow at the Wolcott Elks Lodge, 6161 West Port Bay Road in Wolcott. The Fitzmaurice family requests the courtesy of no flowers, and instead consider a donation in Doug’s memory to one of the following: Rochester Fire Department Engine’s 1, 5, 16; Truck 2 and 10; Rescue 11; Henrietta Fire Department Rescue 628 or Bushnell Basin Rescue 318.
