Sodus: Wife of the late Gerald K. Clark, her husband of 49 years, passed away on Monday September 6, 2010. She is survived by her longtime and loving companion, Godfrey “Doc” Malchoff of Sodus; daughter Sandra (Joseph) Quinn of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, son David (Nancy) Clark of Newark, Delaware; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; the extended families of Doc Malchoff and of Nancy Clark; sister Mary Morley of Cape Coral, Florida; sister-in-law Elaine Thomas of Houston, Texas (former wife of late brother-in-law Joseph Sweeney). Jean was employed by the Sodus Central School District for 25 years as office secretary and assistant to the principal. She was a communicant and active member of the Church of the Epiphany, enjoyed traveling, time with her grandchildren and their families, playing bridge, working crossword puzzles and was an avid New York Yankee fan. Family and friends are invited to call at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus, between 5-7 p.m. on Friday September 10th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 11th 10 a.m. from Church of the Epiphany, followed by interment at Sodus Rural Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be directed to the Sodus Free Library, 17 Maple Avenue, Sodus, NY 14551.
