Obituary of Charles F. Dickens

Savannah: Passed away at home on Monday, September 6th, 2010 with his family at his side. Born in Freeville, New York in 1919, he was the son of William and Sadie Smith Dickens. Charles was a longtime area farmer and John Deere machinery dealer. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Agnes (DiSanto) Dickens; his children Gail (John) Parrinello of Cornwall, NY, Rodney (Ann) Dickens of Neenah, WI, Kenyon (Joanne) Dickens of Savannah, NY and Nan (Dudley) Carlson of Newark, NY; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Charles was predeceased by his 10 brothers and sisters. Visitation will not be observed. Private interment will be at the convenience of his family. The courtesy of no floral offerings is requested, and instead donations in memory of Charles should be sent to Lifetime Care/Hospice, 1120 South Main Street, Newark, NY 14513. Arrangements entrusted to the Colvin-Norton Funeral Home of Savannah.
