Obituary of Gloria Ann Decker (Sheftic)

Pultneyville: Went to our heavenly Father on September 1, 2011 at age 65 following a courageous three year battle with cancer. Born in Somerset, PA on March 13, 1946, she was predeceased by her parents Walter Sheftic and Elaine Carroll. She is survived by her husband Daniel; daughters Jill Decker of Longmont CO and Elizabeth (Andrew) Schwartz of Dover NH; son Noah (Emily) Decker of Colchester VT; grandchildren Isabella and Elias Ogden, Daniel and Drew Schwartz; many brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and very close friends. Gloria was a Registered Nurse, and retired after 20 years as an Intervention Specialist at the Williamson Elementary School. She loved gardening and tending to her beautiful flowers indoors and out. She adored her grandchildren and looked forward to every opportunity to visit with them. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday (Sept 5th) from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Epiphany, St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 105 Main Street in Sodus, Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the convenience of Gloria’s family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gilda’s Club of Rochester, or to a favorite charity.
