Sodus/Wellsville/Wolcott: Passed away on Saturday December 4th, age 80 following a brief illness. Don is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joan; his children Michael (Cheryl) Stratton of Palmyra, Kathy (Dana) Crane of Wolcott, Jeffery (Melanie) Stratton of Athens, PA, Benjamin (Kathryn) Stratton of Sodus; grandchildren Julie (Billy) Lapp of Wolcott, Chad Crane of Dundee, Staff Sergeant Matthew Crane U.S. Army, Germany, Peter (Laurie) Schultz of Georgia, Megan (Bryan) Richardson of Athens, PA, Maria (Justin) Elliott of Athens, PA, and Russell (Andrea) Stratton of Sodus; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by grandson John Schultz, and by brother Edward Stratton.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday (Dec 9) from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the NORTON FUNERAL HOME, 45 West Main Street, Sodus. Don’s funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at the East Newark Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be directed to the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Foundation.
