Branson, MO: Age 87, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2011 following a brief illness. Bernice was born in Cleveland, Ohio daughter of the late Harry Schneider and Clara (Mueller) Schneider.
Bernice was predeceased by husbands Art Putnam and Earl Shipman; daughter Cynthia Foster; son Cory Putnam; and her sister Gerry Claus.
She is survived by her children; Tom (Ann) Putnam, Art (Claudia) Putnam, Steven (Roxann) Putnam, Kathleen Putnam, Colleen Bilton, and Karen (Mike) Huff; step-sons John (Georgia) Shipman and Dennis (Kit) Shipman: nineteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Bernice was a Navy veteran, having served during World War II.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, September 24th, 11 a.m. at the Sodus Rural Cemetery.
