Lyons: Passed away on Thursday October 20, 2011 at age 77. Born in Sodus, Gordon was the son of Elliott and Pauline Verbridge Gardner. He is survived by his children; Katherine Gardner, Robert (Claire) Gardner, David (Mary Beth) Gardner, Glenn (Kris) Gardner and Erik (Jessica) Gardner; grandchildren Kristin, Phillip, Kelsey Milner, Nathan, Benjamin, Jacob, Christian, Alex, Carlin, Matt, Skyler, Evelyn and Nicholas Gardner; great-grandchildren Harmony and Melody. Gordon was predeceased by his loving wife Shirley Potter Gardner in 2003. He was a longtime area farmer and retiree from Xerox Corp.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street, Sodus. Gordon’s funeral will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Sodus United Third Methodist Church. Interment will be at the Sodus Rural Cemetery. The family has requested that memorials in Gordon’s name may be directed to the Lyons Town Ambulance, 43 Phelps St, Lyons, NY 14489.
