Eva passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the age of 84 at the home of her loving granddaughter, Kay Shields. Eva was born July 23, 1931. She was predeceased by her parents Cashis and Eva Eaton, her husband Roy Hyde, children Steven Hyde and Dorothy Hill, sisters Florence Allen and Gertrude LaValley, sons-in-law Bill Butler and Glenn Lake, longtime friend Judy Wollek and special friend Art Manders.
Eva is survived by her children Roger (Joann) Hyde, Joyce Woodhams and Patricia Chrisman, 20 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 20 great great-grandchildren, Aunt Eliza Harrington, many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Eva enjoyed working on puzzles, crocheting, sewing and reading. She was happy spending time with her family. As she was a lover of animals the family has requested donations in her memory be made to the Wayne County Humane Society at 1475 County House Road, Lyons, NY 14489.
The family would like to thank the staff of Newark Wayne Hospital and Lifetime Care for all the loving care and kindness they have shown for Eva. Calling hours will Friday April 8, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9pm the Norton Funeral Home, 5925 New Hartford St. Wolcott, NY. Funeral will be Saturday April 9 at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at the Huron Evergreen Cemetery.
