Obituary of Mary Valentine

Wolcott Mary (Betty) Valentine, 84 went to her final resting place on 4/8/2016. She surely will be missed my many. Her time on earth was spent living a fulfilled life with her family and friends. The world has lost a women who was the very definition of a survivor. Her life was a constant struggle. She never missed out on anything despite her disability. There was nothing she couldn't do. She was tough and she was independent. She is the example that we should all live up to. Pre-Deceased by her husband, Clayton (Clate) Valentine, Parents, Earl and Frances Gascoigne, Sister, Ruth Neal, Brothers Don and Bob Gascoigne, and grandson Jamie Valentine and step grandson Todd Forjone. She is survived by her sons Terry Valentine and Danny (Vi) Valentine and daughter Debbie (Larry) Forjone. Brother Clate Gascoigne, sisters Jane (Leon) Rasbeck and Janet (Sonny) Darling. 6 grandchildren - Terry Jr., Jody, Robert and Paul Valentine, Andy Laird, Michelle Eagley. 6 step grandchildren - Sherry Forjone, Larry Forjone Jr, Shannon Forjone Curnow, Cory Jarvis, Kim Eggleston, and Buddy Pople, 7 great grandchildren - Christian and Cameron Laird, Ty and Madison Eagley, Hailey and Cheyanne Valentine and Justin Tompkins. 3 step great grandchildren Makayla Malon, Chelsey Eggleston, and Damien Forjone. 1 great great step granddaughter Adalyn Grace Eggleston. Visitation will be Thursday April 14, 2016 from 11 am- 1 pm at the Norton Funeral Home 5925 New Hartford Street, Wolcott with Funeral Service to follow. Interment Huron Evergreen Cemetery. There will be a reception following the graveside service at the Faith United Methodist Church, Oswego Street, Wolcott. Contributions can be made in Betty’s memory to Wayne County Nursing Home, any organization affliated with Dementia/Alzheimer’s disease or one’s personal choice.
